Kolhapuri Mutton

Mutton chops: ½ kg
Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tsp
Turmeric powder: ½ tsp
Shehroz Cooking Oil: As required
Salt: to taste
Spice mix:
Clove: 1
Onion: 4 chopped
Whole red pepper: 6
Cumin seeds: 1 tsp
Poppy seeds:2 tsp
Sesame seeds: 2 tsp
Whole coriander seeds: 2 tsp
Coconut diced;: ½ cup


Apply ginger-garlic paste and turmeric powder on mutton chops and leave it in the fridge for 3-4 hours.
For the spice mix, heat Shehroz cooking oil in a pan and fry half onions in it till golden brown. Crush these onions. Add all the spices in the same pan and fry. Then grind the spice mixture.
In a separate pan, fry the remaining chopped onion in Shehroz cooking oil, add the chops and fry till meat is cooked partially. Now add the spice mix in the chops and cook until the meat is cooked properly.
Dish out in a serving bowl, sprinkle brown onion on the top and serve hot with naan.
